Fifth blog posted on the SCGS #10 Jamboree through the eyes, ears and classes attended by Ruth.

Of great fun was the ever busy BLOGGER's LOUNGE: A section of the hotel lobby was set up as a lounge for blogger to meet and greet. Many group pictures were taken in the bloggers lounge:









Bloggers held classes and two sessions of a Blogger summit:
BLOGGERS SUMMIT 1:
Beginner to Reader to Blogger
consisted of a panel of bloggers.

in this case the Syllabus was quite important in so much as the glossary words and Thomas' list of blogs by subject was published.


Literally 5 minutes was used to create a blog on stage. I thought as I listened to the questions that more time was wanted to spend on the step by step rather than the what is, how can I use, benefits of, finding other blogs to read,

I think when I attended a class with Lisa Louise Cooke she took the 10 minute route but she started with setting up a google account. The google account requirement was mentioned briefly but I am unsure many of the audience comprehended what was required.

Speaking of Lisa Louise Cooke, she was a panelist of the next blogger panel -- creatively titled Blogger Summit 2--Now that you are a BLOGGER

Again it was led by Thomas Mac Entree with Lisa, Craig Morgan and Schelly Talalay Dardashti, Kathryn Doyle. Summit 2 seemed to focus on copyrights and to or not to run ads on your blog.
Suggestions for getting traffic to your blog included
Daily Themes,
Running a series, (I wonder if I get another follower based on a series based on the Jamboree?),
Multiple blogs, I tried that and Google wanted to verify my account, and that has caused numerous codes sent to my cell phone and now I am locked out!!
Speak UP, I do a lot of that!!!
Ask people what they would like you to blog about

OK I am asking anyone who reads this, be kind but please let me know what if anything I can do to interest more people in my blog?

I am not yet one of the beautiful bloggers and I am unsure exactly where I am missing the mark.

and SEO was discussed and explained, Wordpress or Blogspot was the census question of this summit.

All and all the summits were nice

but the sideshow of the facebook and twittering was funnier

. Several people in the summit including people on the panel was twittering and facebooking away throughout the entire panel discussions. This was hilarious as people across the room from each other were "passing notes in class" and updating their friends of the real time events of the summit.
